Good Day!
Food, clothing, and shelter. Basic needs. I believe that the basic things can be beautiful. Here are some sites that encourage ongoing conversations about how beautiful basic things can become.

Looking toward the Horizon from Where You Are
Welcome to my weBLog!
I decided to start this blog because of my interest in seeing Really Healthy Communities. I'm fascinated with the opportunities and challenges of the global changes that redistributes the power of information to anyone who can connect to The Great World Communications network, The Internet.
I have a wide range of interests that I think are all interconnected. (I must admit that I get frustrated a little by my hunger to know about everything that comes along! However it's fun.) I bring all my wide ranging interests to the general area of "health" in its widest sense (or maybe it's widest senses...). Every human activity has health implications. My blog will attempt to engage in that kind of conversation. I want this blog to be a repository of ideas that can be gleaned from as many disciplines as possible. From medicine to the arts. The world of design applied to the ecology and sustainability. The World of Faith and The Sciences sharing perspectives as subsets of the same World Conversation.
Those of us who think like this tend to frustrate those who are practically minded. Yet, we need YOU! It's frustrating for us to convince you that our ideas are worth your time but come on in to help us with our reality checks. You're good at this!
I know that I'm not the first at attempting an "online community" like this. I'm beginning to learn that there is a "New Talk" being spread around that is for the web savvy and "technerati" (technorati? technarati?), however, the fun is seeing how much you can learn and how far you can go. So many tools, so little time!
At the end of all this dream/idea/mystery/stuff of sweat, blood, and tears/model building/money raising (Grantsmanship, venture capital, passing the byte hat?)/community development/empowered citizenship/urban farming/community supported agriculture/sustainable housing/individual-community health risk reduction/crime reduction/new entrepreneurship...all is connected...roads, phones, cars, buses, walking. How well? Local to the world and out, out to the stars and back home...
How do you dream? I dream in detail and full color. I believe that what you can conceive is possible if enough people share it. Imagination can be shared and the power of collective, creative wisdom is UNSTOPPABLE!
How about it? Are you in?
